Social Media should be used with the same starting point as the remaining parts of the Inbound concept – focusing on your Persona.

A classical method for looking at social media is, e.g. focusing on keywords and measuring clickthroughs. Measuring this way has its flaws because it lacks a holistic picture.

More important is to get a coherent picture of your Persona and about how he has interacted with your brand. Through this, like trough other channels, focusing on your Persona, you will also end up having laid the basis for your Social Media strategy.

Social Media should increase your chance to communicate with the right target group
With social media, you should be able to find your prospects on the right occasion and thus increase your opportunities to send the right message (content) to your Persona. This way of using niche communication leads not only to a more authentic experience for your Persona, but also helps your sales team to identify and do business in less time towards the right target group.
